NaPoWriMo Day 22 – Exploding Skies

This is what I wrote after being inspired by the sunset last night – it was stunning! It’s called Exploding Skies. 🙂

A scooped bowl
spilling rich, golden soup

deep burgundy swirls
trailing from a dipped finger

dotting pink hazy sprays
randomly around,

magnifying the horizon
the sun clearly setting down,

passing its warm glow
straight to your eyes

an infectious, glorious wonder
exploding across the skies.
